Around 57% of Vietnamese people are working in the Agriculture sector. This is an income source for 70% of the population in Vietnam. However, it contributes only 19% of the total country’s GDP.
This is partly due to the fact that agriculture in Vietnam is largely composed of small-scale farmers who may not have access to the resources or technologies needed to increase productivity and profitability.
To address these challenges and get an impact VSV Foundation is trying to increase the Productivity of the people’s labor. Technology commercialization could be the factor that can create a meaningful impact. VSV Foundation has implemented a number of initiatives aimed at promoting agricultural development and modernization. These include investments in infrastructure, research, and development, and training and education programs for farmers.
By providing farmers with the resources and skills they need to improve their productivity and profitability, VSV Foundation can help to increase the contribution of agriculture to the country's GDP and support sustainable economic growth.
Additionally, VSV Foundation has been making a growing emphasis on developing value chains and increasing the competitiveness of agricultural products in both domestic and international markets. This includes initiatives to promote organic and sustainable agriculture, as well as efforts to improve the quality and safety of food products. This can help to ensure that farmers receive fair prices for their products and that consumers have access to high-quality and safe food products. By promoting organic and sustainable agriculture, VSV Foundation can also help to protect the environment and promote long-term sustainability in the agriculture sector.
