Our story
Vietnam Silicon Valley (VSV) is a government-backed initiative launched in 2013 with the aim of creating a supportive environment for startups in Vietnam. The initiative was developed by the Ministry of Science and Technology and is executed by the VSV Team.
Since then, VSV has been the driving force in building the ecosystem for startups in Vietnam. This encompasses providing access to funding, mentorship, and other resources that can help startups succeed. Due to the efforts of VSV and other key players in Vietnam's startup ecosystem, the country has become an increasingly attractive destination for startups and investors alike from around the world. With a supportive business environment, a growing pool of talented entrepreneurs, and a commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship, Vietnam is poised to become one of the key hubs for innovation and technology in Southeast Asia.
Under the VSV flagship, there are 2 key areas of activities, VSV Capital (VSVC) and VSV Foundation (VSVF).
VSVF was created as a separate division with a focus on bringing meaningful impact to the people of Vietnam and developing creative projects, which could spur innovation and creativity in Vietnam’s various industries.

Our Model
The VSV Foundation is a social impact investor that invests in startups and projects related to agriculture, education, and gender equality (arts and crafts) with the aim of improving the lives of the people in Vietnam. With our local expertise and deep understanding of Vietnam's social and economic landscape, we can identify and invest in programs that can create long-term, systemic change. Our investment strategy is designed to generate attractive financial returns while also creating significant social and environmental impact in Vietnam. We believe that our approach to social impact investing can empower individuals and communities in Vietnam to take control of their own lives and create a better future for themselves and their families.
